Nilphamari Correspondent: Police arrested two drug dealers with 400 bottles of Phencidil in Jaldhaka of Nilphamari. Meanwhile, the pickup van used for transporting drugs was seized. On Friday (September 22) afternoon, Jaldhaka police arrested them while transporting drugs in a pickup van from Chandibari temple area of Balagram union of the upazila.
The two arrested drug dealers are the sons of deceased Abdus Sattar of Chhotakhata village of Dimla upazila. Saminur Islam and son of deceased Abdul Jabbar of Gayabari area. Mahabubar Rahman. Jaldhaka police station officer in charge (OC) Muktarul Alam said.
Two drug dealers were arrested along with 400 bottles of phensidyl while being transported from a yellow colored pick-up van in Chandibari Mandir area of Balagram Union on the basis of secret information. The market value of seized Phensidil is around ten lakh rupees. The OC also said that the pickup van used for transporting drugs has been seized. A case will be filed under the Special Powers Act.
