International Desk: A terrible road accident has occurred in Pakistan. At least 20 people were killed. Another 21 people were injured.

At least 20 people were killed and 21 others injured after a passenger bus overturned on Karakoram Highway in Gilgit-Baltistan's Diamar district early Friday morning, rescue officials said.
According to Diam District Rescue Officer Shaukat Riaz, the private bus was going from Rawalpindi to Gilgit.
On the way, the driver lost control near Gunar Farm near Karakoram Highway. Riaz said that the bus overturned and fell on the banks of the Indus River. He said that the accident happened around 5:30 in the morning.
Stating that the injured have been shifted to Chilas Hospital, the rescue official said that after the accident, the number of injured was initially 35, but later many died due to their injuries.
Gilgit-Baltistan government spokesman Faizullah Faraq said three women were among the dead. Mohammad Zaman, a local resident, said a large number of people reached the hospital to donate blood to the injured. He said local volunteers helped shift the injured and dead bodies to the hospital. Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed grief over the loss of life and offered condolences to the bereaved families.
In a statement, he ordered to provide "all possible treatment" to the injured. On the other hand, Pakistan's Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also expressed grief over the incident and expressed "sympathy" for the families of the victims. He prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.
