Noakhali college student stripped naked, threatened to spread video

News Desk: Three youths have been accused of trying to rape a college student in Qadirhanif Union of Noakhali's Sadar Upazila by threatening to spread the video after capturing it. Although the victim filed a case against the victim, the accused are still out of reach. There are also allegations that the accused are constantly threatening the victim's family through various means.

Meanwhile, the police said that they were trying to arrest Raihan, the third accused in the case, through the immigration police after receiving information that he was trying to go abroad. According to the case file, the second-year student of Noakhali Government University College was standing in front of the gate of their house in Krishnarampur village around 8 pm on Thursday, February 18, talking to her classmate (20) about the suggestion of the exam. At that time all the members of his family were at home.

On this occasion locals Pulak Majumder, Akbar Hossain, and Raihan Uddin came and started quarreling with the student. At one stage, the three pushed her classmate and took the student inside the room. After taking him inside the house, Raihan took his classmate to their kitchen, and Pulak and Akbar took him to the inner room of the house. He went to the room, first beat her randomly, and then stripped her naked and took pictures and videos. At that time, Pulak and Akbar demanded Tk50,000 from him and threatened to spread his videos on social media.

But when the student expressed inability to pay, Pulak and Akbar tried to gang-rape her. Meanwhile, the three accused fled when the people passing by the side road came forward shouting at the student. Later on Saturday (February 20), Pulak, Akbar, and Raihan filed a case against Sudharam Model Police Station under the Women and Child Abuse Prevention Act.

Officer-in-charge (OC) of Sudharam Model Police Station Mohammad Shahid Uddin said an operation was underway to arrest the three accused in the case filed by the student. On the other hand, after receiving the news of the 3rd accused going abroad, an attempt is being made to arrest him with the help of the immigration police.
