779 kg of TCB rice recovered in Kurigram

Kurigram Correspondent:  In Ramkhana Union of Nageshwari Upazila of Kurigram, the mobile court conducted an operation based on the news that oil, pulses and rice of TCB of family card are being sold to wholesalers from the union parishad. During the raid, 779 kg of TCB rice was recovered from a businessman's godown. The mobile court was headed by Assistant Commissioner (Lands) Ashiq Ahmed.

On Wednesday afternoon, the mobile court seized 779 kg of TCB rice from the godown of businessman Rafiqul Islam next to Ramkhana Union Parishad. At that time, TCB rice was recovered and kept in the custody of Ramkhana UP Chairman Jalal Uddin in the Union Parishad. Later, a dealer named Sharifur Rahman was brought to the Upazila Nirbahi Officer's office for questioning. Later, dealer Sharifur Rahman was taken to the spot again and fined 1 thousand taka. Also, as the godown owner Rafiqul Islam is absconding, the tag officer was instructed to file a regular case in his name. Godown owner Rafiqul Islam is the son of Abul Hossain of South Ramkhana Khalitari area of ​​Ramkhana Union. It is alleged that Ramkhana UP chairman Jalal Uddin, panel chairman Rahmat Ali, dealer Sharifur Rahman along with wholesalers Khalil and Rafiqul used to sell oil, pulses and rice of TCB and divide them.

TCB products were distributed in that union yesterday (September 4). At that time, the syndicate sold the products to the wholesalers instead of giving them to the real card holders. These products are seen being taken to the wholesalers in sacks. The wholesaler kept depositing these products in Rafiqul Islam's godown. Several eyewitnesses, who did not wish to be named, said that Rafiqul Islam removed oil and pulses from the godown after hearing about the raid. Chairman members and dealers have been selling products like this for a year. The dealer said, I don't know where and how. I have no idea who sold it or how. However, Ramkhana UP Chairman Jalal refused to comment on this matter.

Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Lands) Ashiq Ahmed said that 779 kg of rice was recovered from a godown in the market adjacent to Ramkhana Union Parishad after receiving secret information. A regular case has been registered against the godown owner as he is absconding. And the chairman has been instructed to keep the seized rice under the responsibility of the chairman and give that rice to the card holders of TCB. Also, a regular case has been filed in the name of godown owner Rafiqul Islam.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer Kaushar Ahmed said, after receiving the news, Aceland went and recovered 779 kg of rice. And the dealer was called for questioning and questioned. He was fined Rs 1,000 for some systematic mistakes. It also recommended cancellation of his dealer's license. Later, a regular case was filed in the name of the godown owner.
