Brahmanbaria: A mobile court against noise pollution was conducted on October 2 in cooperation with District Administration Brahmanbaria at Puniaut area of Comilla-Sylhet highway of Brahmanbaria Sadar Upazila.
According to a press release of the Department of Environment in Brahmanbaria, 3 vehicles were fined Rs 3,000 in 3 cases and the horns were confiscated and destroyed due to excessive noise and use of hydraulic horns. At the same time, about 40 buses, trucks, autos were given stickers related to noise pollution control.
District Administration Executive Magistrate Ehsanul Haque Shipon performed the duty of mobile court to control the noise pollution of the Department of Environment. Besides, inspector Zobair Hossain and other employees and policemen of the Department of Environment cooperated.
Zobair Hossain, inspector of the Department of Environment, said, "Such activities will be continued by the Brahmanbaria District Office of the Department of Environment."
