5 gamblers were arrested in a special police operation in Pabna

Pabna Correspondent:  Police arrested 5 gamblers in Bhangura, Pabna. Thana police on Saturday (September 30) at Chakrapara of Par-Bhangura union of the upazila. They were arrested while gambling in Altab Ali's Deep Call room. 

The arrested are Moinul Hasan (24), son of deceased Ikram Sarkar of Bheramara Purvapara village, Naib Ali (30), son of deceased Ikram Sarkar of the same village, Lal Chand (30), son of deceased Nuru, Hazrat Ali (30), son of deceased Hasen Sardar of Chakrapara, and deceased Hasen Sardar's son Zakirul Islam (35).

According to the police, on the basis of secret information, Par-Bhangura Union Chakrapara. According to the news that gambling is going on in Altab Ali's deep call room, police station OC Alhaj Md. Under the guidance of Rashidul Islam, SI (retd) Manjur Ahmed and ASI (retd) Md. 5 gamblers were arrested by Aamir along with the force. Meanwhile, the police seized 104 playing cards, 5,500 taka in cash and 2 mobile phones used by gamblers. At this time, 2 more accused ran away.

Bhangura police officer-in-charge (OC) Alhaj Md confirmed the truth of the incident. Rashidul Islam said that a case was filed against the arrested defendants under the Gambling Act and sent to jail through the court on Saturday morning. He also said that this kind of ongoing campaign against gamblers will continue in the future.
