9 Police Officers Given Compulsory Retirement

News Desk: Nine officers of Bangladesh Police have been given compulsory retirement. The government has sent them into retirement upon completion of 25 years of service.

This information was announced in a notification signed by Home Ministry Senior Secretary Nasimul Gani on Monday (September 15).

The officers given compulsory retirement are— KM Azizul Islam of APBN Police, Md. Abdur Rashid of CID, Md. Jamal Uddin Mir of Dhaka Metropolitan Police Development Department, Akbar Ali Khan of Sarda Police, Md. Sirajul Haq Sheikh working at Gaibandha In-Service Training Center, Mir Jahedul Haq Roni of MRT Police, Md. Asikuzzaman of 5 APBN, Azizur Rahman of Chakaria Circle Office in Cox's Bazar, and Md. Aslam Hossain of Jhenaidah In-Service Training Center.

The notification states that as the service tenure of the following 09 (nine) police officers working in Bangladesh Police has completed 25 (twenty-five) years, they are being retired from government service in public interest in accordance with the provisions of Section 45 of the Government Service Act, 2018 (Act No. 57 of 2018).

It states that they will be entitled to retirement benefits according to regulations. This order issued in public interest will be effective immediately
