Police Superintendent of Chittagong is DC Masud

Own Reporter: Deputy Commissioner of Police (DC) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP). Masud Alam has been appointed as Police Superintendent of Chittagong District.

He has been transferred in a notification issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs on Tuesday (May 5).

Masud Alam, a son of Bogra district, came into discussion during his duty as Deputy Commissioner of Police (DC) of Ramna Division. Masood Alam, a 28th batch officer of BCS Police, is known for his professionalism and field skills.

He earned a reputation in police circles for his efficiency and quick decision-making in dealing with any situation. Especially after August 5, 2024, he was praised for controlling the agitation in important areas of the capital such as Yamuna, Secretariat, High Court and TSC.

Masood Alam served as Additional Superintendent of Police of Pabna district before taking charge of Ramna zone. Apart from this, he was also working in Jhenaidah camp of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-6).
