New Secretaries Appointed in Three Ministries

News Desk: Bringing a major change to the government’s administrative structure, new secretaries have been appointed to three important ministries and divisions. On Tuesday (March 3), the Ministry of Public Administration announced their contractual appointments through four separate notifications.

Among the newly appointed secretaries, Md. Shahidul Hasan has been assigned to the Local Government Division, Rafiqul I. Mohammad to the Ministry of Agriculture, and Md. Kamruzzaman Chowdhury to the Health Services Division.

The notifications state that their appointments have been made under Section 49 of the Government Service Act, 2018. According to the terms, they will serve in these positions for one year from the date of joining, subject to relinquishing any other professional, business, or employment relationships with government, semi-government, private institutions, or organizations. Other terms and conditions of the appointments will be determined by contract.

Meanwhile, in a separate notification, the Ministry of Public Administration announced that Ashrofa Imdad, Senior Information Officer (Grade-6) of the Department of Information, has been appointed as Assistant Press Secretary to the Prime Minister.
