281 RAB Patrol Teams Deployed Nationwide for Durga Puja

News Desk: Special security measures have been put in place for the Sharadiya Durga Puja after assessing all potential risks. As part of these measures, 281 Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) patrol teams have been deployed across the country, the RAB announced in a press release on Friday (September 26).

The release stated that for Durga Puja 2025, there are a total of 31,526 puja mandaps nationwide. To address any unforeseen incidents and ensure overall security, RAB has intensified intelligence monitoring and patrolling activities. Adequate RAB personnel will remain deployed in their respective battalion areas until October 3 to maintain heightened security.

Since September 25, RAB has deployed 94 patrol teams in the capital and 281 patrol teams nationwide to prevent any violence or sabotage and to maintain law and order. Battalions are coordinating with local puja committees, elected representatives, and other law enforcement agencies through their control rooms. The RAB headquarters is monitoring all activities around the clock.

The public has been urged to inform RAB forces if they have any information about attempts to disrupt communal harmony during Durga Puja. Citizens are also requested to cooperate with RAB control rooms and the designated officers in each district for any law-and-order assistance.

The release further emphasized that, as in previous years, the Sharadiya Durga Puja will be celebrated nationwide with enthusiasm, and all citizens are encouraged to enjoy the festival in a peaceful and festive environment. RAB forces will continue to perform their duties in close coordination with other law enforcement agencies.
