BGB Deployed at Key Points in The Capital

News Desk: BGB has been deployed at various key points in the capital to maintain the law and order situation following the arrival of the body of Sharif Osman Hadi, the convener of Inqilab Moncho.

On Friday (December 19) afternoon, BGB Public Relations Officer Md. Shariful Islam informed this through a message.

The message stated—BGB has been deployed at various important locations in the city, including the Airport area, Karwan Bazar, and the Hotel InterContinental area.

The Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight BG-585, carrying the body of Inqilab Moncho spokesperson Sharif Osman Hadi, is scheduled to reach Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka around 6:00 PM today. To this end, BGB has been deployed in the Civil Aviation area, Domestic Terminal area, and the Airport internal roundabout area to prevent any kind of untoward incident.

Primarily, a tense situation has been prevailing across the capital since the news of Osman Hadi’s death on Thursday night. In this situation, security has been bolstered on various roads in Dhaka to prevent any kind of unpleasant occurrence.

It is worth noting that on December 12, Hadi was shot from a moving motorcycle while visiting the Bijoynagar area of the capital for public outreach. The bullet hit his head. After undergoing surgery at Dhaka Medical College Hospital in a critical condition, he was admitted to Evercare Hospital in Dhaka. Later, he was taken to Singapore by air ambulance for advanced treatment. The young revolutionary leader died while undergoing treatment on the night of Thursday (December 18).
