3 illegal trolleys seized in Faridpur

Faridpur Correspondent: Boalmari police have arrested three trolleys engaged in digging soil in different brickfields of Faridpur's Boalmari Upazila. The three trolleys and the trolley driver were arrested from Katagarh village in the Rupapat union of the Upazila around 8 pm on Friday. A case has been filed under the Road Transport Act at Boalmari police station over the incident. Boalmari police sub-inspector.

Mamun Islam said, on the instructions of OC Sir, the trolleys were seized and brought to the police station. The trolleys and their drivers were detained on Friday night from Katagarh village in Rupapat union of the Upazila as they did not have any license and permission to drive on the road. In this incident, under Section 106 of the Road Transport Act 2018, the trolley driver Md. Hasamdia of Chatul Union of the Upazila A case has been registered against Riaz Sheikh, 19, Hasib Mollah, 19, of Sheikhpur village under Parameshwardi union, and Hasan Sheikh, 24, of Gopalpur village under Alfadanga Upazila.

These trolleys are also causing extensive damage to the road. As a result of pulling soil in these trolleys in different brickfields of Boalmari Upazila, the road is being severely damaged. Officer-in-charge of Boalmari Police Station Mohammad Nurul Alam said the vehicles were causing severe damage to the road. They have no permission to drive on the road, no driver's license. A case has been filed against the illegal vehicle and its driver at Boalmari police station under the Road Transport Act.

The campaign against such illegal vehicles will continue. It is to be noted that just as accidents happen due to the reckless speed of these vehicles, so too the rural roads are quickly destroyed along with the environment and noise pollution. In 2010, the government declared all types of trolleys illegal across the country due to pollution and ordered the government to seize the trolleys and take legal action. But these illegal and dangerous vehicles driven by unlicensed drivers roam freely in front of the eyes of the administration without heeding the law.
