Autobike driver stabbed to death in Nilphamari

Nilphamari Correspondent: Auto driver Abdul Halim died for an autobike. After stabbing him to death, the miscreants tied his legs and left him in a hole, and fled on an autobike. Upon receiving the news, the body was recovered and sent to the morgue for autopsy.

Police could not arrest anyone in the incident. According to police and locals, middle-aged Abdul Halim, son of Afsar Ali of Natib Chapra Korani Para in Chapra Saranjani Union of Nilphamari Sadar Upazila, used to work in people's houses during the day. He used to make a living by riding an autobike in the evening. He did not return home at night after leaving on an autobike last Sunday evening. On Monday morning, the locals saw the body lying in the pit and informed the police.

Preparations are underway to file a case in this regard. Police could not make any arrests. Asadul Haque and Fazlar Rahman of Natib Chapra area said that Abdul Halim has four daughters. He has no son. Married one daughter. Three girls are studying. He used to make a living by working on people's farms and farms during the day to cover the expenses of the family.

A month ago he bought an old autobike for 80 thousand rupees. He used to ride autobikes from evening till midnight to earn extra money to pay for the wedding of the girls. But unfortunately the miscreants killed him to snatch the autobike and took it away. Autobikes have become more valuable to the villains than life itself. Officer-in-charge of Nilphamari Sadar Police Station Abdur Rauf said he was stabbed in the chest for the autobike.

The auto has not yet been recovered. Meanwhile, Nilphamari Superintendent of Police, PBI Superintendent and CID Superintendent have visited the spot. If the case is filed, it will be possible to arrest the killer very soon.
