Father-in-law in jail in Domar daughter-in-law rape case

Nilphamari Correspondent: Police have arrested father-in-law Anil Chandra Roy (50) in the rape case of daughter-in-law in Domar of Nilphamari.

On Monday (March 18) night, he was arrested by the Domar police station from his home in Holholia village of Mirzaganj area of ​​the upazila. He was sent to the district jail by the court on Tuesday afternoon.

The daughter-in-law (19) came to the police station in the morning on Monday (March 18) and filed a complaint against her father-in-law Anil Chandra Roy (50). Anil Chandra Roy is the son of Gaur Sundar alias Gokul Chandra Roy of Holhalia village in Mirzaganj area of ​​Upazila.

According to the statement, the housewife got married to Roni Chandra Roy, son of Anil Chandra Roy, in a love relationship two years ago.

After marriage, the bride used to live in her husband's house. On March 7, the bride's husband Roni Chandra stayed outside the house as he is a sanitary engineer by profession. On that occasion, father-in-law Anil Chandra Roy sneaked into the daughter-in-law's house and raped her in the night.

Domar police station officer-in-charge (OC) Saeed Chowdhury said that the accused's father-in-law, Anil Chandra Roy, was arrested on Monday night following a raid. He was sent to jail by the court on Tuesday afternoon.
