Nine accused in robbery case arrested in Faridpur

Ehsan Rana, Faridpur: The police arrested nine people in the robbery case by conducting raids in different areas of Faridpur. The information was confirmed by the Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Charbhadrasan police station, Mintu Mandal. Earlier on Wednesday night, the police arrested them from different areas of Faridpur district. The arrested are dakat gangs of Rajbari, Madhukhali, Saltha and Charbhadrasan upazilas. According to police sources, Rubel Sek and Riazul Sek are the leaders of 2 dacoit gangs, active members of organized inter-district dacoit gangs. The arrested are Rubel Sek, Eamon Munsi (26), Md. Naeem Pawndar (22), Jihad Molya (24), Md. Mamun Sek (27), Antar Karmkar (22), Billal Molla (24), Pranthar Sarkar (27) and Riazul. Sheikh (35). Assistant Superintendent of Police Jamal Pasha and Suman Ranjan held a press briefing on Thursday (August 11) afternoon confirming the truth. It is known that at this time 13 annas of molten gold, 3 annas of gold ornaments, a pair of nupurs, 1 mobile phone, a domestic pistol-like, 1 da, 1 chisel and 2 Chinese axes were recovered from them. It is to be noted that last (August 2) the members of the said dacoit group 2 armed themselves with local weapons and armed with local weapons, cut the window grill in the house of a Saudi expatriate in MK Dangi village of Sadar Union of the upazila, entered the house and took the people hostage at gunpoint and took away the goods.
