Sanju Roy, Bogra: The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-12) arrested three people with 48 kg of cannabis in an anti-drug operation in Kahalu, Bogra. They were arrested from a RAB check post in the Dargahat area of the Bogra-Naogaon regional highway in the upazila around 12 noon on Saturday. A truck used for transporting drugs (Dhaka Metro-T-20-5614) and mobile phones belonging to the three arrested persons were recovered. The arrested are Russell Islam, 28, of Chakgora village in Naogaon Mahadevpur upazila, Raihan Mandal, 28, and Rabbi Mandal, 20, of Dakshin Hossainpur village in the same upazila. These two are his brothers. This information was confirmed by the company commander in charge of the RAB camp in Bogra (Assistant Superintendent of Police) said. Mostafizur Rahman. He said secret information revealed that three people were carrying a consignment of cannabis in a truck from Comilla to Naogaon. The search was started by setting up a temporary check post in Kahalu Dargahat area. At one stage of the search, three people were arrested with cannabis from the truck.
