News Desk: Five more children have died with measles symptoms across the country in the last 24 hours. During the same period, 1,232 children were affected by measles and measles symptoms.

​This information was revealed on Monday (August 24) afternoon in the Health Directorate's updated measles report.

​According to the press release, five more children died with measles symptoms in the last 24 hours. However, no child died from confirmed measles infections.

​With these, a total of 839 children have died with measles symptoms across the country since March 15. Additionally, 99 children died from confirmed measles infections during this period. Altogether, 938 children have died from measles and measles-like symptoms so far.

​Furthermore, 83 children were diagnosed with measles, while 1,149 more children were affected with measles symptoms in the last 24 hours. During this timeframe, 1,055 children were newly admitted to hospitals, and 946 children were discharged.

​According to data from the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), the total number of suspected measles cases in the country from March 15 to date stands at 150,652. Among them, measles was confirmed in 18,487 patients.

​A total of 131,664 patients were admitted to hospitals during this period, of whom 126,921 returned home after receiving treatment.
