Deaths of 2 More Children, Total Death Toll from Measles and Related Symptoms Reaches 930

News Desk: Two more children died with symptoms of measles in the country over the past 24 hours. No one died from confirmed measles during this period. So far this year, the total number of deaths from measles and measles-related symptoms has risen to 930. Of these, 99 people died from confirmed measles and 831 died with measles-related symptoms.

In addition, 815 people were found to have symptoms of measles over the past 24 hours. During the same period, 65 people were diagnosed with confirmed measles.

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) disclosed the information in a statement issued on Saturday (August 22).

According to DGHS data, over the past 24 hours, one person each in Dhaka and Sunamganj districts died with symptoms of measles.

So far this year, 18,273 confirmed measles cases have been reported. The total number of suspected infections so far this year stands at 148,406.
