Three more deaths from dengue in a single day, 994 hospitalized.

News Desk: Three more people have died from the mosquito-borne disease dengue across the country in the last 24 hours. During the same period, 994 new patients were admitted to various hospitals.

​This information was released today, Monday (August 24), in a dengue press release issued by the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

​According to the release, with three deaths reported in the last 24 hours, the total death toll from dengue this year has risen to 85. Meanwhile, the total number of dengue cases in the country has reached 29,923 so far this year.

​In comparison, 102,861 people were infected with dengue and 413 died last year. In 2024, there were 101,214 reported infections and 575 deaths.
