SAAB Elects New Executive Committee at the Russian House in Dhaka

Diplomatic Correspondent: The 14th Executive Committee Election of the Soviet and Russian Alumni Association of Bangladesh (SAAB) was successfully held today at the Russian House in Dhaka, with the participation of around 400 voting members.

Established on 7 August 1982, SAAB represents more than 6,000 graduates of Soviet and Russian universities who continue to make outstanding contributions to Bangladesh's development in education, science, technology, healthcare, public administration, business, and many other sectors.

A newly elected 22-member Executive Committee will lead the Association's future initiatives, further strengthening educational, cultural, scientific, and humanitarian cooperation between Bangladesh and Russia.

Ms. Alexandra Khlevnoy, Director of the Russian House in Dhaka, congratulated the newly elected committee and expressed confidence that SAAB would continue to play an even stronger role in promoting the enduring friendship and partnership between the two countries.
