Pakistan PM, Deputy PM Express Solidarity with Bangladesh over Devastating Floods and Landslides

Diplomatic Correspondent: Prime Minister of Pakistan Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar have expressed profound sorrow over the tragic loss of lives and widespread destruction caused by the recent floods and landslides in Bangladesh, reaffirming Pakistan's solidarity with the Government and people of Bangladesh during this difficult time.

In a condolence message shared through the official Facebook and X (formerly Twitter) accounts of the Pakistan High Commission in Dhaka, as well as on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif's official X account, the Pakistani Prime Minister said he was deeply saddened by the tragedy.

"Deeply saddened by the tragic loss of life and widespread devastation caused by the severe floods and landslides in Bangladesh. On behalf of the people of Pakistan, I extend my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and express our unwavering solidarity with the Government and people of Bangladesh. We pray for the swift recovery of the injured and the safety of all those affected," the Prime Minister stated.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar also conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and expressed sympathy for all those displaced and affected by the disaster.

In his message, Senator Dar paid tribute to the courage and dedication of the rescue personnel, armed forces, medical teams, and relief workers who continue to work tirelessly in the disaster-hit areas.
"Pakistan stands in solidarity with the Government and people of Bangladesh, and I pray for the success of the ongoing rescue and relief efforts and for the safety of all those impacted," he said.

The messages reflect Pakistan's support for Bangladesh as the country continues its rescue, relief, and recovery efforts in the wake of the devastating natural disaster.
