UN condemns Israeli attack on Gaza's 'safe zone'

International Desk: The United Nations has strongly condemned Israel's brutal attack on the helpless Palestinians who took shelter under the open sky in Al Mawasi area of ​​Khan Younis, the 'safe zone' declared in the besieged Gaza Strip of Palestine.

The death toll in the barbaric attack on Saturday (July 12) has risen to 90. About 300 innocent Palestinians were injured. On Sunday (July 14), UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres condemned the incident in a statement. News from Anadolu.

Hamas-run Gaza's health ministry said in a statement that Israel had declared the area of ​​al-Mawasir where the attack took place a "safe zone" and urged Palestinians to seek refuge there.

An Israeli official claimed that they carried out the attack targeting the head of the Hamas military wing, Mohammad Deif, and the deputy head, Rafa Salma. Their attack was carried out in an open area where only Hamas terrorists were present, no Palestinian civilians.
