Anti-narcotics operation in the capital, 42 arrested

News Desk: Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested 42 people for the crime of sale and consumption by conducting an anti-drug operation in the capital. They were arrested after raids were conducted in various police stations of the capital from Tuesday (September 12) to Wednesday (September 13) at 6 a.m.

DMP Media and Public Relations Department Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) K. N. Roy Niyati said that 2 thousand 817 Yaba tablets, 59 grams of heroin, 4 kg 698 grams of ganja and 60 bottles of phensidyl were seized from the accused.

He also said that 33 cases under the Narcotics Control Act have been filed at the DMP police station in the name of the accused.
