Kurigram Correspondent: A person named Raju Ahmed stole the furniture and various necessary items of the house last May and escaped from the house by pretending to be a tenant at Seze Palli Vidyut Office in Chilmari, Kurigram. Then on the 26th of that month, the owner of the house was registered at Chilmari Model Police Station. Rubaina Khatun filed a case in the name of Raju Ahmed as the plaintiff. whose case number is 13. After being on the run for a long time, the accused Raju Ahmed was arrested yesterday from the border area of ​​Godagari upazila of Rajshahi district and brought to Chilmari Model Police Station.

Chilmari Model Police Officer Inarchaz confirmed the arrest. Haresul Islam. Arrested Raju Ahmed is the son of Abu Bakkar Siddique of Anandnagar area of ​​Naogaon Sadar Upazila. After the arrest of Raju Ahmed, the stolen items were recovered. On the other hand, two more people have been arrested on the charge of buying stolen goods. They are Saju Mia (50) and Alam Mia (38). Both of them are residents of Gurati Para Bandh Mor area of ​​Ramna Model Union of the upazila. According to the police station and complaint sources, the complainant Rubaina Khatun lives in Rangpur due to her job.

His village home is in Vijayanagar area of ​​Ramana Model Union. The village house was rented to a person named Raju Ahmed a few months ago. Raju Ahmed said that he used to work in rural electricity office. Lived on rent for a long time and developed cordiality with the landlord. After that, taking advantage of Bariola's simplicity, he stole all the goods of the house (such as crockery) on May 26 and ran away.

Rubaina Khatun's brother Mokhleshur Rahman said, Raju Ahmed had built a good relationship with us, we didn't realize that he was a thief and cheater. And he lived alone in that house. In another room there were many expensive items of crockery locked away. Suddenly, at night, they broke the lock and looted all the goods.

Later my sister filed a case in Chilmari Model Police Station as plaintiff. He also said that after four months of the case, the accused will be arrested and the goods will be recovered. We had given up hope. But the police tied that work and arrested the accused. We did not have to spend a single rupee at the police station. No policeman had to be fed a cup of tea. Thanks to the police.

OC Haresul Islam said the accused Raju Ahmed is the mastermind of an inter-district gang of thieves. His job is to go to different areas and steal with different identities. We try to trace the accused in the light of the complaint but he stays at different places at different times. Nowhere was still. Thus after a long time its fixed location is found. After that I informed the matter to SP sir.

Sir gave great importance to this issue. According to his instructions, I was able to arrest the accused Raju Ahmed from the border area of ​​Godagari upazila of Rajshahi district. After that, according to his information, two people who bought these stolen goods were arrested along with the recovery of the goods sold last night. They have been sent to jail by the learned court.

In this regard, Additional Superintendent of Police (Ulipur Circle) Mohammad Mohibul Islam said that one person has been arrested for the crime of theft. However, those who bought the contraband were also arrested and the goods recovered from their homes. So before buying anything, you must listen. Just like stealing is a crime, buying stolen goods is also a crime.
