9 Jamaat activists arrested in Nilphamari

Nilphamari Correspondent: Sadar Thana Police arrested 9 Jamaat Shibir leaders and activists in various areas in Sadar Upazila of Nilphamari. In addition, 13 people are being detained in various cases, Sadar police officer-in-charge Khan Mohammad Shahriar said in a notification.

The detained Jamaat activists are Abuzar Rahman (52) of Paschim Moktar Para village of Charaikhola Union of Sadar Upazila, Ali Hossain of Haber Tal village of Panch Pukur Union, Atiyar Rahman (55) of Chapra Sarmjani Union, Rahidul Islam (27) of Chapra Naddipara village, Arazi of Kuchiar Mor village. Serazul Islam (20), Rubel Islam (25) of Natib Chapra village, Fulddin (57) and Mominur Rahman (54) and Hafizur Rahman (27) of Babrijhar village were arrested by the police. According to police sources, they were arrested to maintain law and order while trying to create chaos in the police station area.

Among them there are many active officials of different areas, public representatives and union dues entrepreneurs. Legal action has been taken against them. According to a district official of the organization, Darwani arrested seven people from the Babrijhar area on their way to the protest march at Textile Junction and took two people away from their homes last night. In this regard, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sadar Police Station Khan Mohammad Shahriar said, "We do not know about the protest." They could not hold any procession or any program in the city.

We are arresting 9 of their leaders and activists by carrying out raids while trying to create chaos, including engaging in acts of sabotage. On the other hand, five Harijans Nayan Basfar (32), Swapan Basfar (28), Ramu Basfar (24), Chhota Lal Basfar (32), Nayan Basfar (32) from Medical area of ​​Parvatipur were arrested from North Haroya village area of ​​Tupamari Union. Rafiqul Islam's son Sagar (30) and Golzar Rahman's son Sagar (21) of Charaikhola village have been arrested along with stolen garlands. Mir Alam, Rashidul Islam, Khaleda Akhtar, Manik Hossain, Ashiq Rana have been sent to jail through the court in the warrant case.
