In Jamalpur, a businessman was hacked on the head and robbed of money

Jamalpur Correspondent: In Jamalpur Sadar Upazila, masked miscreants robbed a businessman named Habibur Rahman Angur (38) on the head with a sharp weapon and seriously injured him and robbed him of money and mobile phone. This incident took place in Godashimla Kaidabari area of ​​Sadar Upazila on Monday (07th August) night. Tariful Islam, the relative of the injured businessman, said that Habibur Rahman Angur of Bherapathalia village of Jamalpur Sadar Upazila has a business of mobile recharge, development, cash, and money transactions on mobile phones. He was returning home after closing the shop on Monday night.

On his way home by motorcycle, when he reached Kaidabari area of ​​Godashimla, miscreants from behind hit him on the head and threw Habibur Rahman Angur on the road. Later, some masked miscreants hit him on the head with sharp weapons and seriously injured him, snatched two lakh rupees and several mobile phones for money transactions and left them on the side of the road and fled. Later the locals rescued him and admitted him to Jamalpur General Hospital. In this regard, Jamalpur Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Kazi Shahnewaz said that the police were sent after receiving the news of the incident.

No one has complained about this yet, if there is a complaint, a case will be taken. It is to be noted that another businessman named Montu Mia (38) was doing the business of mobile recharge, development, cash, rocket and other mobile money transactions in Godashimla market. On the night of June 15, Montu Mia was attacked by miscreants at the same place on his way back home after closing his shop in the market.

The masked miscreants attacked him and seriously injured him and took away two lakh rupees. Later on June 20, he died while undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical. Montu Mia's house is also in Bherapathalia village. In this incident, the police arrested 5 people and sent them to jail through the court. Panic prevails among the traders of Godashimla market due to the attack on two traders at the same place almost two months apart.
