International Desk: Saudi Arabia has imposed a number of restrictions on performing Umrah this time due to the Corona epidemic. The country's Hajj and Umrah authorities said in a statement on Monday that Umrah could be performed only once this Ramadan.

The new rules will take effect from Tuesday. According to the ministry, those who have applied for Umrah will be able to perform Umrah only once. The second time they can no longer apply for Umrah. Meanwhile, due to the Corona epidemic, King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud has ordered Tarabi prayers in the two main mosques of Saudi Arabia to be 10 rak'ats instead of 20 rak'ats.

Sheikh Abdur Rahman Al Sudais, head of relations between the two main mosques in Saudi Arabia, said Tarabi prayers were being reduced from 20 rak'ats to 10 rak'ats. In order to be protected from the coronavirus, the precautionary and protective measures taken by the presidency of the mosque and other agencies engaged in the service of Umrah pilgrims must be strictly adhered to.

Earlier, Saudi authorities allowed two holy mosques to perform Umrah and prayers during the holy month of Ramadan. However, the two mosques have been banned from holding E'tikaf and Iftar this Ramadan. Only people who have been vaccinated will be able to perform Umrah and perform prayers in those two mosques. It has been reported that 50,000 Umrah and 1 lakh worshipers who have been vaccinated in the two mosques during Ramadan will be allowed to enter and perform prayers.
