International desk: Yemen's Houthi rebels have launched a missile attack on a Chinese-bound crude oil tanker in the Red Sea.

The US Central Command in the Gulf region said the attack was carried out early Saturday in the strategic Bab al-Mandeb strait off the coast of Yemen's rebel-held city of Mokha, on its way to China with crude oil from Russia.

News of Arab News. The U.S. Department of Maritime Safety said the oil tanker was Panama-flagged and owned by Greece. Ambrey, the British Navy's maritime security agency, said a missile attack was carried out on the Panamanian-flagged crude oil tanker about 10 nautical miles southwest of Mokha. This caused the steering gear flat (the upper deck, on which the radar steering mechanism is installed) to catch fire.

However, no casualty has been reported so far. Ambrey said they received a report of an attack on a ship. The UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) said the vessel and crew are safe and the vessel is continuing to sail. It should be noted that the Houthi rebels are targeting all the ships associated with Israel in the Red Sea in protest against the barbaric attacks on the Palestinians in Gaza.

As a result, America has failed to stop the rebel group's positions in Yemen. However, this time the ship bound for China was also attacked.
