International Desk: The United States detonated two atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in Japan to end World War II. U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham, a staunch supporter of Israel, called on Israel to do "whatever it takes" to call for a repeat of the incident in Gaza.

He made this call in an interview given on Sunday (May 12) in the "Meet the Press" program of American broadcaster NBC. Faced with destruction, we decided to end the war by dropping the bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. It was the right decision. So Israel should be given the necessary bombs (nuclear) to end the war. They cannot lose.

Lindsey Graham, a staunch supporter of Israel, criticized the Biden administration for blocking arms supplies in opposition to the Israeli military operation in the southern Gaza city of Rafah. Meanwhile, NBC anchor Kristen Walker asked Graham if Ronald Reagan's administration had stopped supplying arms to Israel during the 1980s war in Lebanon.

Even if that matter is right, why don't you think the decision of the Biden administration is right? In response, Senator Graham brought up World War II again and countered by asking, 'Why was it right for America to drop two atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki to end a war that threatened their existence? Why was it right for us to do it? Because we thought it was okay.

At the time, Lindsey Graham called on Israel and said, 'So Israel, do whatever you have to do to survive as a Jewish state. You have to do it. Lindsay Graham blames Hamas for civilian casualties in Gaza.

The US senator also said, "I think it will be impossible to reduce civilian deaths in Gaza as long as Hamas uses its own people as human shields." Never in the history of war have I seen such a brazen attempt by an enemy—Hamas—to put civilians at risk. At the time, he said, "The last thing you are actually doing with this is to reward this behavior (of Hamas)."
