Jabishis's human chain in protest of attacks on followers of traditional religions

JOB Correspondent: The Jagannath University Teachers' Association (JUBIS) has organized a human chain in protest of attacks on followers of traditional religions in different parts of the country, including Shalla in Sunamganj.

The human chain program was held on Monday (March 22) in front of the Rafiq building of the university. General Secretary of the Teachers Association, Prof. The human chain was conducted by Shamima Begum and was attended by the Vice-Chancellor (Acting) of the University Kamaluddin Ahmed, Registrar, Proctor, and teachers of different departments.

Kamaluddin Ahmed, vice-chancellor (acting) of Manabbandhan, said, "We have come together today out of conscience. March is indeed a month of mischievous hints. Pakistanis were still thinking people. Our only goal is to let everyone know when the time will come." We have to spread Bangabandhu's consciousness among the students as teachers and build a non-communal Bangladesh. " Teachers Association President Prof. Noor Alam Abdullah said, "When the heads of state of different countries come, they are intoxicated with such attacks in this country to tarnish my position in the court of the world."

He called on sociologists and psychologists to find out why extremist people are on the rise in the country.

Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Chairman of the Department of Political Science Arun Kumar Goswami, Chairman of the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Sciences Raisa Ahmed Lisa, Chairman of the Department of Psychology Nur Mohammad and many others spoke on the occasion.

It may be mentioned that on March 17, thousands of people vandalized, looted, and attacked Mamunul Haque, a leader of Hefazat-e-Islam in Noagaon, a Hindu village in Shalla Upazila of Sunamganj, for giving him the status of a Hindu.
