The university administration did not allow Istiska prayers in the field to pray for rain in DU

News Desk:  People's life has become unbearable due to intense heat and harsh sun. And for this reason, Istiska prayers are being offered for rain in different parts of the country. For the same reason, the affiliated Dhaka University (DU) Department of Islamic Studies also prepares for Istiska Namaz. But the university administration did not allow it.

According to those concerned, the students of the department announced Istiska Namaz at the ground of Haji Muhammad Mohsin Hall at 11 o'clock today on Wednesday with the teachers, students and the general public of Dhaka University to pray for relief from the pain of intense violence, forgiveness for the sins committed and rain. Shaykh Prof. Mukhtar Ahmad was appointed to lead the prayers and prayers. However, despite the announcement, the university administration did not get permission. 

Later, Professor Mukhtar Ahmad wrote on his Facebook page, 'Due to unavoidable reasons, tomorrow's Salatul Istiska/Rain Prayer Namaz of Dhaka University has been postponed. The changed place and time of prayer will be informed later Inshallah. 

One of the initiators of Istiska Namaz is AB Zobair. He told the media, 'After discussing with everyone, we announce the time for prayers. But we were banned by the university administration. So adjourned.' 

Professor Dr. Proctor of the University in this regard. Md. Maksudur Rahman told the media that the university has announced online classes due to intense demand. We cannot allow namaz in open ground at that place. We have central mosque for prayer, hall hall mosque, imam-khatib also.
