News desk:  Authorities have banned the organization of programs related to Ramadan discussion in Dhaka University (DU). The proctor's office has written to the provost of the hall, the dean of the faculty and the director of the institute not to allow any event in this regard.

On March 15, Proctor Professor Dr. Md. The letter signed by Maksudur Rahman was sent. Which appeared in various media on Wednesday.

The letter signed by the proctor said that some students of the law department gathered at Bangabandhu Tower building of the university without taking prior permission to hold a seminar titled 'Productive Ramadan'. As a result an untoward incident took place there and some law students were injured. The university authorities informed the matter to the law enforcement agencies. Later, some political organizations and politically known individuals are engaged in efforts to divert the matter to other sectors with the aim of destabilizing the Dhaka University campus.

The letter also mentions that the university authorities have constituted a committee to take necessary measures. The committee is investigating and working to take appropriate action in this regard. In this situation, it is requested not to allow any such activity in order to avoid any untoward incident and fair environment of education.

It should be noted that on March 13, students of the law department were accused of an attack by the BCL in a discussion meeting on Ramadan. 5 students were injured. In protest, the students handed over a memorandum to the vice-chancellor demanding human chain and justice.
