Global Studies Olympiad held in Rangpur

Rangpur Bureau:   Global Studies Olympiad Season-1 was held in Rangpur at Rangpur Cantt Public School and College Auditorium Building. A thousand students participated.

The function was presided over by Umar Farooq, Principal Advisor, Global Studies Olympiad, Teacher, Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur. The program was inaugurated by Colonel Md. Ahsanul Kabir, Principal, Cantonment Public School and College, Rangpur. Professor Dr. was present as a special guest. Tuhin Wadud, Head, Department of Bengali, Begum Rokeya University, Md Zakir Rahman, Associate Professor, Department of Geography and Environmental Sciences, Begum Rokeya University, Sarwar Jahan, Principal, North-West International School and Advisor, Global Studies Olympiad Organizing Committee, Global Studies Olympiad Organizing Committee writers, teachers and advisors were present.

Shoaib Haque Shivati, Co-Founder & CEO, Gender Studies Olympiad spoke on the occasion. Around 1000 students from class 5th to 10th participated in 1 hour competition in 3 categories in Global Studies Olympiad. Later the guests distributed the prizes among the winners. Presided over by - Umar Farooq, Principal Adviser, Global Studies Olympiad, Teacher, Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur.

Mooiz Mubarrat, Founder and President, Global Studies Olympiad gave the closing speech. In the competition “A” group, 1st place was won by Md. Tanjim Tahseeb Rohan, 2nd place was won by Jannatul Ferdous, 3rd place was won by Nayom Tajwar. Group “B” Winner 1st Place – Mosha Sadia Tasnim, 2nd Winner – Md Farzial Ehsan, 3rd Winner – Mishrat Jahan Mishu. “Group C Winner 1st Place – Muntasir Rahman, 2nd Winner – Raisa Ferdous Risha, 3rd Winner Hon- Naimur Rahman Naeem.

There were total 40 questions in the competition, the main topics of which were the history and civilization of the Bengali nation, the world and recent important events. Later, the guests distributed prizes among the winners.
