The new chairman of the Department of Mathematics, Professor. Md. Shariful Alam

JOB representative: Jagannath University (JU) has appointed a new chairman of the Department of Mathematics, Professor. Md. Shariful Alam. He was the previous chairman Prof. Rabindranath Mandal has been replaced. According to the University Registrar's Office, the former chairman.

After fulfilling the responsibilities of Rabindranath Mandal, according to Section 24 (2) of Jagannath University Act 2005, Professor Dr. Md. Shariful Alam was replaced for the next 3 years. Which will be from 21st March 2021 to 20th March 2024.

Besides, he took over from the former chairman of the department at 11 am on Sunday and officially took over as the newly appointed chairman. Teachers, officers, and employees of the mathematics department were present at the time. Besides, he was greeted with best wishes and congratulations by the department. At the same time, the recently departed chairman Prof. Flower's greetings and honorary mementos were given to Rabindranath Mandal.

It may be mentioned that he has been appointed for three years as per the rules of Jagannath University. He studied Honors and Masters from the Department of Mathematics, Dhaka University. M. Phil from BUET and Ph.D. from Dhaka University. Sultan of Oman has completed post-graduate from Qaboos University.
