News Desk: Bangladesh received US$2.29945 billion in remittances during the first 25 days of July, equivalent to Tk 28,283.235 billion at an exchange rate of Tk 123 per US dollar. The highest amount of remittances was received through Islami Bank.
According to the latest report published by Bangladesh Bank on Sunday (July 26), private commercial banks received US$1.6571 billion in remittances during the first 25 days of July. State-owned banks received US$337.17 million, specialized banks received US$301.55 million, while branches of foreign banks received US$362,000.
Bangladesh Bank said Islami Bank received the highest amount of remittances among all banks during the period, totaling US$357.68 million. Bangladesh Krishi Bank ranked second with US$301.55 million, followed by BRAC Bank with US$226.09 million. Agrani Bank received US$169.31 million in remittances.
