News Desk: Bangladesh Raises LPG Prices for August
The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has announced a new price for liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) at the consumer level for the month of August.
On Sunday (2 August), BERC increased the price of a 12-kilogram LPG cylinder by Tk 70, setting the new retail price at Tk 1,598, up from the previous price of Tk 1,528.
The revised pricing was announced in an official statement issued by the commission for August 2026.
According to the notice, the newly fixed price includes Value Added Tax (VAT) and applies to consumers purchasing LPG cylinders from retail outlets.
BERC stated that the revised price will take effect from 6:00 p.m. on Sunday and will remain in force until further notice.
