Father's Blood Will Be Avenged, Vows Mojtaba Khamenei in New Message

News Desk: Iran's current Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei, described the massive public turnout at the funeral of his father, the late Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, as "historic," "unprecedented," and a demonstration that "broke the enemy's morale." He also vowed to avenge the deaths of his father and those killed in the recent conflict.

In a message issued on Sunday (12 July) following the burial of the late leader, Mojtaba Khamenei said the large-scale participation in funeral prayers and mourning ceremonies held across cities in Iran and Iraq reflected the people's loyalty to Islam and the spirit of resistance.

"I sincerely thank the millions of people who gathered in cities and towns across Iran and Iraq, especially in Tehran, Qom, Najaf, Karbala, and Mashhad. Their presence was extraordinary, demoralizing for the enemy, and will be remembered in history," he said.

In his statement, Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei declared, "We will avenge the sacred blood of our martyred leader and all those who were killed during the war resulting from U.S.-Israeli aggression. This is the demand of our nation, and it will certainly be fulfilled."

He added that "the perpetrators will never realize their dream of dying in peace," emphasizing that this commitment does not depend on the presence of any individual or government official.

"Whether we are here or not, this revenge will be carried out. Very soon, freedom-loving people around the world will become partners in this divine duty," he said.

Paying tribute to his father, Mojtaba Khamenei said, "With tearful eyes and broken hearts, we bid you farewell and pledge to uphold your vision and ideals. We will remain steadfast on the path of truth and justice that you showed us, fear no hardship, and place our trust, as you did, in the promise of Almighty Allah."

He also honored those who died alongside the late leader, saying, "You are fortunate. Today, you are in the company of the great leader in whose service you devoted your lives."

Concluding his message, he prayed for the forgiveness of the deceased, patience for their families, and a swift and decisive victory for the people of Iran.
