The Information and Communication Technology (ICT) examination of the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations, scheduled for 11 July, has been postponed in five districts under the Chattogram Education Board due to severe adverse weather and the worsening flood situation.

The announcement was made on Friday (10 July) in a notice signed by Professor Md. Parvez Sazzad Chowdhury, Controller of Examinations of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Chattogram.

According to the notice, the ICT examination (Subject Code: 275) scheduled for Saturday has been postponed. The decision applies to all examination centres in the five districts under the board's jurisdiction: Chattogram, Cox's Bazar, Khagrachhari, Rangamati, and Bandarban.

The board said that a revised schedule for the postponed examination will be announced through a separate notice at a later date.

Considering that power outages may make it difficult for information to reach many areas online, the board has instructed the officers-in-charge of all examination centres to announce the postponement through loudspeaker (miking) so that candidates and their guardians are informed and no one travels to examination centres unaware of the change.

While the decision has provided temporary relief to thousands of students in flood-affected areas, they will now have to wait for the announcement of a new examination date.
