News Desk: The Directorate of Madrasa Education has instructed all madrasas across Bangladesh to ensure the mandatory organization of daily physical training (PT) assemblies and sports activities.
The directive was issued on Monday (July 6) by the Directorate's Training and Physical Education Branch and sent to the heads of all madrasa educational institutions.
According to the directive, signed by Md. Abul Kalam Talukder, Director (Training and Development) of the Directorate of Madrasa Education, the current government is committed to expanding sports activities at the grassroots level and within educational institutions. It states that organizing daily physical training (PT) assemblies and sports activities is essential for developing young people and building a prosperous Bangladesh driven by the energy and potential of its youth.
In light of this, all assistant teachers of physical education working in madrasas under the directorate have been instructed to organize daily PT assemblies and sports activities while ensuring the active and enthusiastic participation of students.
The directive further states that in madrasas where the post of assistant teacher (physical education) is vacant, the head of the institution should temporarily assign the responsibility to a suitable teacher with experience or competence in sports from among the existing teaching staff.
At the same time, the Directorate has requested institution heads to take the necessary steps, in accordance with existing regulations, to fill these vacant positions on a permanent basis.
