Syndicates and extortion create market instability: Opposition Leader

News Desk: Opposition Leader and Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has said that market instability in the country is being created due to middlemen and extortionists.
He made this remark on Tuesday (May 12) morning after visiting the Mirpur Shah Ali wholesale market.
Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said that syndicates are artificially driving up the prices of essential commodities. He urged the government to take initiative to control the market.
He also stated that the opposition party will remain vocal both inside and outside Parliament to ensure a stable and tolerable market situation for the people.
