Soybean Oil Price Increased

News Desk: Commerce Minister Khandaker Abdul Muktadir has announced that the price of bottled soybean oil has been increased by Tk 4 per litre, raising it from Tk 195 to Tk 199.
He also stated that the price of a 5-litre bottle of soybean oil has been set at Tk 1,040, while the price of loose soybean oil has been fixed at Tk 179 per litre.
He made these remarks while speaking to journalists after a review meeting on edible oil prices held on Wednesday (April 29) at the conference room of the Ministry of Commerce.
The minister said the government has decided to adjust edible oil prices in the country considering the situation in the global market.
He further added that the government is closely monitoring the situation to ensure a stable supply of edible oil and maintain market stability. The newly adjusted prices will take effect immediately.
