Diplomatic Correspondent: The Soviet Alumni Association of Bangladesh (SAAB) organized a cultural evening at the Russian House in Dhaka, bringing together Bangladeshi graduates of universities in the former Soviet Union and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
The event highlighted the longstanding educational, cultural and people-to-people connections between Bangladesh and Russia, with former students gathering to celebrate their shared experiences and enduring ties with the region.
The alumni, who pursued higher education at universities across the former Soviet Union and CIS countries, took part in a vibrant cultural programme reflecting the rich traditions and memories associated with their academic life abroad.
The gathering also provided an opportunity for members of the alumni community to reconnect, exchange memories and strengthen the bonds developed through their shared educational heritage.
The cultural evening underscored the important role played by educational exchanges and alumni networks in fostering friendship, mutual understanding and closer people-to-people relations between Bangladesh and Russia.
