News Desk: The government has approved the purchase of two cargoes of LNG from South Korea and the United Kingdom.
The approval was granted on Monday (August 24) during the 41st meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Government Purchase (CCGP).
At the meeting, the Energy and Mineral Resources Division presented proposals to purchase two cargoes of LNG through an international quotation process. Following the application, the committee approved the proposal.
According to the approved proposal, one cargo will be purchased from Posco International Corporation for the period of September 13–14 at USD 24.625 per MMBtu, and another cargo will be purchased from TotalEnergies for September 23–24 at USD 24.25 per MMBtu.
A total of 13 proposals, including this one, were presented and discussed at the meeting.
