A human chain of JU students demanding the start of academic activities in March

JU Correspondent: Ordinary students studying at Jagannath University (JU) have organized a human chain demanding the start of academic activities of Jagannath University within the first week of March. The human chain was held under the banner of general students at Shaheed Minar of the university at 11.30 am on Sunday. The students demanded that the educational institution be reopened with the corona vaccine in the first week of March.

They demanded the government to reconsider its decision to open educational institutions. The students in the human chain said, "If the university opens in March, we will get a lot of relief from the session jam." And because of Corona, our economic situation has become very fragile. Even so, I am strongly demanding to open the university in March.

They think that everything in the country is going on normally, then where is the problem to open the universities now. Moreover, there is the thought of session jam among the students. Nazmul Islam, a student in the accounting department of the university, said in favor of opening the university in March, "Corona's situation in our country is better than other countries. Such a decision of the government is not acceptable." Just like the students are falling behind in their studies, they are becoming mentally weak as a result of staying at home for a long time.

Rakib, a student of Manbandhan University for the 2017-18 academic year, said that the students had to take to the streets to realize all the demands and gave importance to the students to take the country forward. Students are suffering in all cases. JU students have to take part in the movement in everything, today we have to take to the field to demand the start of educational activities in the university.

Teachers are getting their salaries at home, so they don't have tension with students. Md. Zahir Uddin, a student of the marketing department, who took part in the human chain, said, "I see no reason to stop the academic activities of the universities when everything in the country is going on normally and even the office activities of the universities are going on." If we open in May, we are in danger of getting into a 6-month session, but if the university opens in March, we may not be able to get into this session if we take the exams of the last semesters.

The low-income, poor students of the university are poisoned; We die of poison. Our family is watching us, the sooner we finish, the sooner we will be able to get out and stand next to the family. It is to be noted that students of different departments of Jagannath University were present in the human chain.
