News Desk: Mentioning that Sheikh Hasina has set a unique example in the practice of democracy within the party, Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader said that she is in a very strict position regarding the discipline of the party. According to the constitution, there is an opportunity to lodge a complaint with the election tribunal at the Dhanmondi president's office if anyone has a complaint about a committee.

Obaidul Quader said that the district committees which have not been given yet, will be given approval after due process. He also called upon all parties involved in the war of liberation and development to unite against anti-national propaganda and conspiracies. Obaidul Quader said Sheikh Hasina's continuous efforts to build a non-communal and liberal democratic state by eradicating communalism must be strengthened. Obaidul Quader made the remarks at a regular briefing at his official residence on Sunday (January 24th) morning.

Several district committees of the Awami League, including the Dhaka metropolis, have already been approved. Other committees, including the district committee, are finalized in a specific process. After the submission of the proposed committee, the committees constituted for 6 divisions were scrutinized by the district committees under their respective divisions, after which the general secretary gave final approval with the consent of the party president.

Obaidul Quader said the party's position has already been clarified on the rebel candidates in the municipal elections across the country, adding that the councils that are revolting in the Chittagong City Corporation elections will also face severe organizational punishment. He called upon all to follow the discipline and play a united role in the victory of the nominated candidate of the party. Obaidul Quader, Minister for Road Transport and Bridges, said that the BNP had made a fictitious allegation of corruption in vaccine management even before collecting the vaccine. Now they are lying about tick management. The minister also thinks that the BNP's fabricated allegations and propaganda about vaccines are intertwined.

Obaidul Quader said the BNP did not stand by the helpless people during the Corona period and was doing disgusting politics, just as they did more politics with Khaleda Zia's treatment than with medical treatment. He said the BNP has now made itself an opponent of the people by blindly opposing the government. On the occasion of the historic mass uprising day, the general secretary of the Awami League said, "Today is the day of unprecedented awakening of the Bengalis against the dictatorship of Ayub Khan."

Obaidul Quader also said that the mass uprising of 1969 is a significant milestone in the history of our freedom struggle led by Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the father of the nation. Recalling Matiur Rahman, a student of Nabakumar Institute who was shot dead by the police, the bridge minister said the mass uprising was sparked by the participation of people from all walks of life through mourning on January 21, 22 and 23.

Obaidul Quader also recalled the self-sacrifice of Shaheed Asad and said that Bengalis have got an independent country after a long period of movement and sacrifice. Mentioning that Sheikh Hasina, the worthy daughter of Bangabandhu, has built a bright Bangladesh in the spirit of independence in the heroic story of heroism, she said, the country must repay the debt of sacrifice and self-sacrifice of our predecessors by transforming it into Bangabandhu's golden Bengal.
