News Desk : General Secretary of Awami League and Minister of Road Transport and Bridges Obaidul Quader said, BNP failed in agitation, failed in preventing elections, failed in calling for boycott of Indian products.

He said this on Thursday (April 4) at Bangabandhu Avenue in the capital during the preparations for celebrating Mujibnagar Day on April 17 and exchange of views with Khulna divisional Awami League leaders.

Obaidul Quader said that the curse of BNP is the fugitive Tariq Rahman. As long as he is the leader of BNP, BNP will not come on the right track. The party will be stuck in the sand of mistakes The BNP leaders are finding it difficult to accept the free style leadership of the BNP which runs from London. They have started to understand - as long as Tariq Rahman is at the helm, BNP is stuck in the sand of mistakes. They can't get out of here.

General secretary of Awami League said to Tariq Rahman, politics will be done by remote control, what happens! If you have courage, come to the country, do politics. Have the courage to go to jail. The people will not respond to calls from London. Today BNP leaders also call the call of this movement fake. BNP also failed by calling for boycott of Indian products. Indian products in bedroom, kitchen of BNP leaders. This so-called call is speculation. This speculation is over. BNP is disorientated after failing today.

Obaidul Quader said that Awami League is the only party which practices democracy within the party and said that BNP does not practice democracy within itself. Those who do not have democracy in their own homes, they talk about the country's democracy in which face? The most brutal events of 75 were the biggest killers of democracy. The killers of democracy cry in the name of democracy. It makes me laugh to hear - BNP now talks about democracy.

Earlier, Obaidul Quader participated in the discussion meeting on the occasion of the 104th birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. In this meeting organized by Awami League's health and population sub-committee, he called for improving the quality of hospitals in Mofswal.

He said, some hospitals in the country look like stables. Hospitals should not be stables. There is a doctor, there is no medicine. Urgent matter like ICU needs to be up to upazila level.

Under the chairmanship of sub-committee Afam Ruhul Haque, Secretary of Health and Population Affairs and State Minister of Health Dr. Rokeya Sultana and others. Later, wheelchairs were distributed to 5 hospitals by the sub-committee.
