10 Leaders and Activists of BNP were Released on Bail in Naogaon

Naogaon Correspondent: 10 leaders of BNP were released on bail in Naogaon. 10 leaders and workers of Raninagar and Patnitala upazilas of BNP and its affiliates have been released on bail. They were released from Naogaon District Jail on Wednesday (March 20) evening. A double bench of the High Court granted them bail on March 10.

Lawyer Sabbir Ahmed confirmed the matter. Raninagar Upazila BNP joint convener Atikuzzaman Japan, Mosarab Hossain, member Nayan Khan Lulu, senior joint convener of Upazila Jubo Dal Mozakkir Hossain, joint convener Farhad Ali Mondal, member secretary of Upazila Volunteers Dal Mahbub Hasan Belal and Bara Gacha Union Judo Dal are among the leaders and activists released on bail. Convener Eklas Ali Mondal and Patnitala Upazila Akbarpur Union BNP Senior Vice President Shariful Islam Jewel, Najipur Municipal Jubo Dal Senior Joint Convener Abdul Quader along with Naogaon District Chhatra Dal Co-Campaign Secretary Rakibul Hasan are said to be present. They were arrested in a case under the Explosives Act in Raninagar upazila on November 2 last year and in a case under the Explosives Act in Patnitala upazila on October 28. The High Court bench issued a ruling in this regard and granted them interim bail pending the disposal of the ruling.
