People of Bangladesh are not anti-India, they are anti-communal Modi: Sarjis

Nilphamari Correspondent : Addressing India and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Sarjis Alam, General Secretary of the July Shaheed Smriti Foundation and one of the coordinators of the anti-discrimination student movement, said, "The people of Bangladesh are not anti-India, the people of India are not anti-people, the people of this country are anti-communal Modi, who came to power by drinking the blood of Muslims in Gujarat."

He made this statement at a view-sharing meeting and award distribution ceremony organized by the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement on the occasion of Victory Day and the July-August Uprising at the Saidpur Five Star Ground in Nilphamari on Tuesday afternoon.

Sarjis Alam also said, "Victory Day, independence, and the constitution do not belong to any party or family. During the previous Sheikh Hasina's tenure, those who opposed her ideology were subjected to murder, disappearance, and torture." 

In the exchange of views, Saidpur Political District BNP President Abdul Gafur Sarkar, Saidpur City Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Sharfuddin Khan, Upazila Executive Officer Noor-e- Alam Siddiqui, Shaheed Sajjad's father Md. Alamgir Hossain, Central Co-Coordinator of Anti-Discrimination Student Movement Redwan Islam and leaders of local anti-discrimination student movement were present. After the exchange of views, prizes were distributed among 36 winners of painting, poetry recitation and essay writing competitions.
