News Desk: There has been a lot of uproar in the political and sports arena for the past few days regarding Shakib Al Hasan's joining BNM known as the 'King's Party' before the 12th National Assembly elections.
Finally, Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader opened his mouth on the issue of Shakib-Al Hasan. On Tuesday (March 19) in the party's central office at 23 Bangabandhu Avenue in the capital, he said in response to questions from reporters that Shakib won the election from Magura on the Awami League ticket. It does not matter to Awami League whether he has made any party or not.
Obaidul Quader also said, Shakib was not a member of our party before seeking nomination. When taking nomination he has to take primary membership.
