Hospitals have been ordered to be prepared for dengue situations, said Health Minister Dr. Samant Lal Sen. He said, we will take prevention in every ward, making people aware, explaining to people how dengue occurs. Our hospitals are instructed to keep the hospital ready.

He said that when patients are infected with dengue or have fever, they should come to the hospital as soon as possible. Many times it is seen that he comes very late. Nothing can be done then. We are giving these messages.

Mayor of Dhaka North City Corporation. Atiqul Islam said, we brought BTI first. I brought it through a contractor. Its price was 85 lakhs. BTI wanted it as a test case. But BTI saw 5 tons. The contractor who brought it misdeclared it and did whatever he wanted and said all over social media that we made thousands of crores. The price of 5 tons was 87 lakhs. I did not use that 5 ton BTI because of the court order. If the contractor is jailed once and gets bail, it is a matter for the court.

That is why Dhaka North City Corporation is going to directly import BTI for the first time. The experts here today also tell us how to do organic, biological treatment. BTI is the best choice among biological treatments. We have already worked on it. said the mayor.

Atiqul Islam said, the Ministry of Health is providing entomology for the first time. We are working on it. We will start working on it immediately after fasting.

He said, last time I fined Japan Garden City. I have fined 3 crore 87 lakh taka. We continue our work. The first day we cleaned Gulshan Lake, billions of mosquitoes came out. Tomorrow I will go to Uttara to clean every canal in Rajuk. The mayor said that our organization should take that responsibility. You have seen that we got larvacide from Petrobangla, fined 5 lakh taka.

He said, I am not blaming anyone. Let's work together. We have to keep working and we will definitely get results. The City Corporation will work with the Ministry of Health, local government and all organizations to do better than before.

Earlier last year, a record number of people were infected and died of dengue in the country. Last year 3 lakh 21 thousand 179 people were infected with dengue. And 1 thousand 705 people died due to dengue.

The first dengue infection occurred in Bangladesh around 1960. Four decades have passed since then. Then, in June 2000, dengue first appeared in an epidemic form in Bangladesh. A total of 5,551 dengue cases were reported that year, of which 93 died.
